Superconductivity from doping a fractional Chern insulator

ORAL

Abstract

Motivated by the recent experimental observation of superconductivity in twisted MoTe2, we investigate a spin- and valley-polarized model on the honeycomb lattice with purely repulsive interactions using the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method. Our calculations provide evidences for the emergence of a superconducting phase in this system, demonstrating that unconventional pairing can arise solely from repulsive interactions in a spin- and valley-polarized setting.
