Burton Award Talk: Physics in intertropical Africa: state, strengths, weaknesses and strategy for its reinforcement in a global World

Abstract
Taking the occasion offered by the award of the Burton prize, our presentation will focus on the state of physics education and research in intertropical Africa with its strengths and weaknesses. This will lead to the details on some actions undertaken by 2026 Burton prize winner to contribute to advancing and disseminating physics education and research in Africa. This will be extended to the proposal of some appropriate ways to enhance physics in intertropical Africa in a globalized World with some special actions on international collaboration.
