Excited States of Quantum Magnets via Quantum Monte Carlo

Abstract
We present a numerical method to study low-lying eigenergies of quantum spin Hamiltonians using path integral quantum Monte Carlo. The method is demonstrated on the transverse field Ising chain under longitudinal field. We show the universal mass ratio predicted by Zamolodchikov can be extracted from the Monte Carlo data. We discuss extensions towards studying quasi-1D easy axis magnets.
