SIT Debriefing – A Physics Informed Engineering Framework for Robust and Traceable Simulation Recording for healthcare education

ORAL

Abstract

We present SIT Debriefing, a physics-informed engineering framework that integrates signal dynamics, system stability, and cloud-verified data integrity for simulation debriefing in healthcare education. The framework integrates a FastAPI–MySQL backend for database management, C++ modules for handling medical recordings, and a Next.js frontend interface. These components interact through a multi-threaded FFmpeg + MediaMTX recording architecture, governed by a finite-state model (FSM) that ensures synchronized and stable operation.

Integrated algorithms coordinate real-time recording control, cryptographic integrity verification, multi-source synchronization, and low-latency audiovisual transmission via WebRTC (< 200 ms), with NGINX providing an additional layer of stability and control. Each subsystem from authentication and relational data management to adaptive file-state transitions and temporal alignment of camera streams is optimized for reproducibility and traceability. In pilot validations across ten high-fidelity simulation scenarios, the framework sustained 99.6 % continuous recording uptime and 99.8 % integrity verification, demonstrating stable performance under realistic operating conditions. By treating video-stream propagation, latency, and information preservation as measurable physical processes, SIT Debriefing provides a reproducible and physics-grounded foundation for quantitative assessment in healthcare simulation, contributing a scalable reference model for next-generation health-physics technologies.
