Information processing of motile bacteria
POSTER
Abstract
Biological systems constantly interact with their surroundings and respond to external stimuli in diverse ways. Such information exchange underlies biological behaviors in diverse systems across scales. Here we investigate how controlled external stimuli affect biological behavior using motile bacteria as a simple system. Our approach will establish a framework to study information processing in living cells and offers new insights into controlling collective behavior in biological systems.
