Realistic Utility Scale Quantum Computing
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
Quantum computing promises to give insights into certain problems that have (so far) proven intractable on a classical device. But that in itself does not promise it being a useful device beyond academic exercises. I will review the concept of a utility-scale quantum computer, and outline several use cases that may produce utility both to the institution using the device and enabling broader societal impacts.
