Abstract

The novel technology in the field of particle accelerators, emerging at a rapid pace, forces high energy physics research laboratories of the Department of Energy in United States, and other particle accelerator industrial centers to stay current and renew the technical workforce (technicians, engineers, scientists). In this regard, this paper presents the implementation of a state-of-the-art training program in Accelerator Science and Technology at New York City College of Technology, the result of a long-term collaboration between Brookhaven National Laboratory and City University of New York. The continuous improvement plan is presented alongside with the implementation strategies, the delivery, and assessment methods.
