Dipolar-octupolar pyrochlore spin systems in magnetic field
Oral-In-person · Withdrawn
Abstract
Dipolar–octupolar pyrochlore magnets have recently emerged as a fertile platform for exploring unconventional quantum phases and dynamics beyond those found in conventional dipolar spin systems. The presence of octupolar components in the local moments gives rise to novel symmetry structures and coupling mechanisms, enabling a rich variety of exotic states and field-tunable phenomena. In this talk, I will present several theoretical predictions of these emergent behaviors in dipolar–octupolar pyrochlores and propose concrete experimental routes to realize and detect them—many of which can be accessed by applying external magnetic fields within currently available materials.
