Novel thermoelectric behavior in kagome YbCo6Ge6

ORAL

Abstract

Kagome materials have maintained popularity in recent years due to the rich and interesting physics the Kagome atomic lattice often hosts. These materials often offer new correlated quantum phenomena due to the naturally incorporated linear dispersion, flat bands, and van Hove singularities of their bandstructures. Though classified as metals according to their bandstructures, many Kagome metals demonstrate strong thermoelectric behavior, comparable to that of semiconductors and some intermetallic materials. Inspired by the novel thermoelectric behaviors of the KV3Sb5 and R166 kagome families, here we demonstrate interesting thermoelectric measurements on a new Kagome compound.
