Electronic properties of surface states in Weyl altermagnets
POSTER
Abstract
Motivated by recent experiments in CrSb, we investigate the electronic properties of altermagnetic Weyl semimetals, focusing on their topologically protected Fermi arc surface states. The Fermi arcs are spin polarized and connect the Weyl nodes of the same spin projection. The spin-orbital coupling (SOC) affects the shape and the spin texture of the arcs. Furthermore, SOC allows for nonzero net magnetization originating from the surface states. The nontrivial structure and spin texture of the Fermi arcs is also manifested in electronic and spin transport properties.
