Monte Carlo Study of 2D Magnets

Abstract
Using Monte Carlo method, we carried out a systematic study of the magnetic properties of 2D magnetic materials. Both Heisenberg and Ising models have been adopted to calculate the Curie temperature. Effects of simulation lattice size will be investigated. Technical details such as how to accelerate the convergence of Monte Carlo simulation will be discussed. Finally, the results of introducing a magnetic defect on the magnetic properties of 2D magnets lattice will be presented.
