“Valley-Spin Manipulation of CrSBr/TMD Heterostructure”
ORAL
Abstract
Recent advances in two-dimensional magnetism have created new possibilities for engineering vdW heterostructures. Efficient interlayer coupling and proximity effects serve as a powerful tuning knob to tailor the magnetic and optical properties in 2D magnetic/semiconductor heterostructures. In this work, we experimentally investigate the magneto-optical responses in vdW heterostructures with the layered antiferromagnet CrSBr. By applying external magnetic fields and using circularly polarized excitations, we measured the evolution of the spin-valley dependent optical responses with the CrSBr spin-state changes and identified proximity effects. Our results highlight new ways to manipulate valley degrees of freedom through magnetic interactions and offer insight into the interplay between interfacial exchange fields and excitonic dynamics.
