Transport and Magnetic Properties in Mn-Intercalated NbSe2
Oral-In-person
Abstract
Intercalated transition-metal dichalcogenides form an important class of layered materials that exhibit interesting magnetic and transport properties. Here we report the discovery of robust magnetic ordering and field-induced metamagnetic transition in Mn-intercalated NbSe2. A magnetic transition occurs at 33K, which also manifests into a pronounced anomaly in the temperature-dependent resistivity measurements. A sharp metamagnetic transition occurs with the application of magnetic field near 5 T, signaturing spin reorientation. Our results establish Mn-intercalated NbSe2 as a new layered material, offering opportunities for spintronic applications and for exploring field-tunable electronics and magnetic states in layered materials.
