Large deviations of ionic currents in electrolytes

Abstract
In this talk, I will review some of our recent work concerning rare fluctuations within nonequilibrium steady-states of nanoconfined electrolyte systems. In particular I will discuss how molecular theories of the Wien effects, or the electric field dependent conductivity, as well as how rates of ion pairing are altered far from equilibrium. Both the theory, and accompanying set of molecular simalation techniques will be reviewed.
