Single-photon preparation based on amplitude-amplification in cavity-QED
ORAL
Abstract
In this work, we develop a coherent control technique for cavity-QED based on oblivious amplitude amplification, which iteratively amplifies the single-photon amplitude using $N$ control pulses applied to an atom coupled to a cavity. We study a three-level quantum system coupled to a single mode of an optical cavity, where our protocol achieves an improved scaling in the number of control pulses from $N\sim 1/\alpha$ to $N\sim 1/\sqrt{\alpha}$, with $\alpha$ denoting the success probability of generating a single photon from a single application of the control pulse.
