A Low-Cost Nuclear Magnetic Quantum Computer
ORAL
Abstract
Quantum computing is a rapidly developing field that promises a number of technological and scientific breakthroughs in the coming years. In order to prepare students for the quantum workforce, it will be necessary to develop low-cost quantum hardware for hands-on education and training. We present a quantum computing device based on a nuclear magnetic resonance earth-field laboratory setup suitable for exploring simple one and two qubit operations. Future developments will include designing PCBs suitable for enclosure and mass production as well as designing a more user-friendly software interface.
