Bridging the Digital Divide: Strategies for Enhancing Digital Education in Ghana
Oral-Virtual · Withdrawn
Abstract
Ghana's initiatives to improve digital education are hindered by a clear generational gap. Educational systems tailored for older generations, such as Boomers and Gen X, do not resonate with Gen Z and Gen Alpha students, whose thinking has been shaped by rapid technological growth. This research examines key issues, including the high costs of ineffective teaching and institutional resistance to change, which keep outdated, one-size-fits-all approaches in place. It suggests that closing the digital gap requires more than providing technology; it calls for a strategic overhaul to match teaching styles with the collaborative, tech-savvy mindset of current students. The study concludes by highlighting that adapting to these new learning styles is crucial, not optional, for successful knowledge sharing and learner achievement in Ghana.
