CMS Endcap Hadron Calorimeter (HE) Response to High Energy Electron and Pions

Abstract

The response of the CMS endcap hadron calorimeter to high energy beam will be presented. The data were taken at the H2 beam line at CERN in the summer of 2007 with 10-300 GeV/c pions and electrons. We report on the overall performance of the endcap calorimeters with emphasis on response linearity and energy resolution.
