High Energy Scattering from all Isotopormers of H2

Abstract

Using variational Monte Carlo and simple, explicitly-correlated fully-nonadiabatic wavefunctions for the lowest rovibrational state of all the H2 isotopomers, we have computed cross sections for the elastic and inelastic scattering of fast electrons and X-rays. Our results are in good agreement with the calculations of Kolos, Monkhorst and Szalewicz (J. Chem. Phys. 77, 1323 (1982)).
