Evaluation of the diabetic foot deterioration by THz imaging ... and other applications

In this talk I will give a general overview on the field of terahertz spectroscopy with particular emphasis on time-domain spectroscopy. I will then talk about a recent study in which we used this emerging technology for the early diagnosis of the deterioration of feet of diabetic patients. In addition I will speak about a number of other studies in which we have targeted problems in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and even in the study of art pieces and other culturally valuable objects.
