A Study of Heat Loads on DUNE Field Cage Assembly Table.

ORAL

Abstract

The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment will consist of a Near Detector located at Fermilab and a Far Detector located Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in South Dakota. The detector systems will be comprised of liquid argon-based time projection chambers enclosed by field cages that define the active detector volume and ensure uniformity of the electric field within that volume. The Far Detector field cages will be comprised of twenty-four super modules each containing eight 10' by 11' individual modules. An assembly table has been constructed to aid in the safe and efficient construction of these modules. We report here on the design and implementation of a significant upgrade to the assembly table providing full access to the modules during the construction process.
