Low Temperature Electrical Transport of the the Anisotropic Organic Conductor τ-(P-SS-DMEDT-TTF)2(CuBr2)1(CuBr2)y (y = 0.75)

Abstract
DMED-TTTF (dimethyl-ethylenedithio-tetrathiafulvalene) is an asymmetrical electron-donor molecule with alternating layers of organic and inorganic materials. Electrical transport measurements were taken and we report results on the temperature and magnetic dependence of the resistivity. As with its cousin compund with AuBr anions, the material is non-metallic at higher temperatures and a sharp increase in resistance below 20 K. Of particular interest is the gradual saturation of the magnetoresistance at lower temperatures at differing magnetic fields. No direct observation of the Fermi surface was observed, owing to the lack of SdH oscillations.
