Double-mode RR Lyrae Variables in TESS Selected by GAIA

POSTER

Abstract

The GAIA mission is able to identify variable stars in its catalog because it visits each target multiple times. The classifications of these variables, however, may or may not be accurate. To investigate this, we took a magnitude limited sample of 237 RR Lyrae variables identified by GAIA as being RRd (double-mode) type and analyzed data from the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) to confirm this classification and look at their properties. Statistics of the sample will be presented, along with a few interesting individual stars.
