Production and decay cross-sections in an alternative form of supersymmetry
ORAL
Abstract
Using MadGraph5, the speaker has performed detailed calculations of the cross-sections for gluino and selectron pair production in an alternative form of supersymmetry, These calculations demonstrate suppressed cross-sections and modified decay signatures, suggesting that superpartners like these may exist at energies ~ 1 TeV, but with previously unexpected experimental signatures. Gluino and selectron masses between 500 GeV and 3000 GeV were considered at center-of-mass energies of 14 TeV, 30 TeV, and 100 TeV. The results demonstrate that gluino production cross-sections, for example, decrease rapidly with increasing mass but increase with center-of-mass energy. The calculations also show that traditional decay channels are significantly altered, with stable remnants or missing energy signals replacing standard signatures. Other features beyond cross-sections are also being explored through MadAnalysis5, to enhance the feasibility of distinguishing these particles in future collider experiments.
