Slow and stored light propagation under the condition of resonant four-wave mixing

Abstract
We study the possibility of simultaneous storage of a resonant probe and off-resonant Stokes pulses in a hot Rb vapor cell. Specifically, under the conditions of electromagnetically induced transparency and resonant four-wave mixing the coupled propagation of both fields may be connected to the same dark state polariton. Experimental data and numerical simulations are presented.
