The STEMcoding Youtube Channel

POSTER

Abstract

The STEMcoding project, founded in 2017, creates and distributes free, high-quality content that aligns with science, mathematics, and computer science standards. The project aims to encourage high school science and math teachers to integrate computer science and data science concepts into existing courses, giving students a greater variety of learning experiences and more exposure to current trends in technology. We offer a variety of content and services, including teacher training and online coding activities. An important platform for our work is the STEMcoding YouTube channel (htt[://youtube.com/STEMcoding). We use the YouTube channel to distribute videos explaining the various activities available through the STEMcoding project, designed to teach teachers to integrate the activities into their classes. This work will showcase the STEMcoding YouTube channel as a physics education tool for high school and early college teachers.
