Faculty want to teach better, but how?

Abstract

If we want to transform instruction to support student learners in physics, we need to enable faculty and institutions to enact the transformations that will best support students in their contexts. Part of this work is educational: helping physicists know what's available. Part of it is community-centered: supporting physicists to engage meaningfully together as educators. My favorite part is aspirational: co-thinking to articulate a new dream and how to enact it. This talk focuses on synthesizing programs and resources to support emerging research institutions, emerging education researchers, and physics faculty in transforming their teaching and supporting their students.
