Intelligent Control of Gravitational-wave Detectors for Cosmology
ORAL · Invited
Abstract
The laser interferometer based gravitational wave detectors (such as LIGO and KAGRA) are sensitive to black holes of up to 100 solar masses. In order to extend the band to include larger black holes, the feedback control systems must be tuned to the edge of what is possible. I will describe recent techniques which can enable high-z cosmography with massive black holes which have never been detected.
