Quantum Error Correction on an Intel Exchange-only qubit-based Full Stack Quantum Computing System

ORAL

Abstract

Building a quantum computer requires systems architecture and careful consideration for all the components that constitute the full system. Codesign of the system software, classical hardware, and quantum hardware is what elevates a well performing qubit device to the heart of a computing system that can eventually be used to realize scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing. For computational tasks, dedicated software typically allows higher flexibility while purpose-built hardware will excel at performance. With the Intel C++ Quantum Compiler toolchain, and a software-based QEC decoder, we will explore the performance and trade-offs in executing quantum error correction related workloads on exchange-only quantum dot qubits.
