A new QCCD computer and new applications

Abstract

The Quantinuum Helios machine uses 98 high-fidelity qubits with all-to-all connectivity. In this talk I will summarize the how the machine operates, and how it performs on component level and system-level benchmarks. I will then report on the use cases we've explored in its young life, including quantum simulations, cryptographic protocols, and error detection and correction protocols. Finally, I will conclude with an outlook and what this machine means for the future of trapped-ion quantum computing.
